I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY31575) in California. I received my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and my B.A. from Wake Forest University. After my doctorate, I completed a two-year, APA-accredited postdoctoral fellowship at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
During my fellowship, I provided individual and group therapy for adolescents and young adults, provided consultation services for medical providers, administered psychological assessments, and supervised doctoral and social work interns. My clinical work focused on mental health treatment for teens and young adults with chronic medical issues. I also completed a two-year rotation in the Pediatric Pain Management Clinic, where I received specialized training in working with chronic pain.
Prior to fellowship, I completed an APA-accredited internship at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. I completed two rotations, one in the Center of Addiction Medicine, which focused on treatment for clients with substance use disorders and dual diagnoses, and one in the Adult Partial Hospitalization Program which focused on treatment for adults with mood, personality, and trauma-related disorders.
I have worked in inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings and have been trained in both cognitive-behavioral and relational therapies. In private practice, I provide therapy to clients ranging in age from children to adults. It is my greatest joy to provide therapy and a true privilege to assist people as they learn to better understand themselves, cope with difficult life circumstances, and create the lives they want.
